Last day in the UK

Sorry for the lack of blogging but there hasn't been much opportunity. The group is doing well and we are all packing to head home tomorrow. No one can believe how fast these past two weeks have flown by!

8/9/13

So far this trip has been lots of fun with lots of laughs with not much drama. My roomates are the best and i have the best chaperone ever. (Mrs.Watkins) They serve really good food where we're staying (The University of Worcester - well, sometimes it is only so-so) The rehersals are in the afternoon after lunch. They prepare us for evensong at 5:30. We haven't had any morning services yet, but we will next week. But all the hard work during rehersals really pays off for evensong. I miss my friends and family back home. <3 Love you mom XOXOXO

> Friday, August 9th, Day 7: Hi Tim and Nancy (and everyone else reading our blog). Sorry I haven't blogged yet I've just been really busy. We went to Warwick Castle the other day and it was really fun. We also went on a really pretty boat tour of Worcester. I'm with all of my friends and it's really fun. We went shopping at a bunch of English stores too. The Cathedral here is so big and really pretty. We went on the very top and took a bunch of pictures. It's our last day here and I'm sad I won't be singing here anymore yet excited to see the other places. I'm really excited for London, even though we will just be spending a day there. Tell Claire good luck in Italy for me.

> Hey everybody back at home,

> Having a wonderful time! Went to Warwick Castle, which was so much fun. Did the tower at Worcester Cathedral. Took some awesome pictures. We've also shopped and went sight-seeing. This is such a wonderful opportunity. Tonight we are packing for Windsor, which will be just as fun as it has been in Worcester. Love and miss the family/friends. See you soon. Sending all my love. - Anna

Last day at Worcester

Day 6:
Today was our last day in Worcester. To remember our wonderful time here 2 of the younger groups had a scavenger hunt. We had to take creative pictures in front of all different things like: the biggest door in the cathedral, the statue of Edward Elgar, and everyone smushed inside of a telephone booth. We also had tea and pastries at a place called The Boston Tea Party. Following lunch, my group made a first attempt at packing. It was way easier than I expected, probably because I just through everything in my suitcase. To end our day we had a full choir evensong with one of the longest psalms yet. My family friend came to see the service and he told me that he really enjoyed it. I can't wait to go to Windsor Castle and I hope that everyone is safe at home!

Day 3: The trip has been great so far! Except I never know what time it is...But beside that we did out first Evensong today.  According to Mr. E. it went great.  Because of our excitement towards the trip the bus ride and plane ride went by fast.  It was smooth travel and our last few hours in America were enjoyable.  Once we landed everyone wasn't exactly awake.  But on the bus ride to Worcester almost everyone took a good nap.  The rooms are also great.  It is nice to have your own bathroom! The staff is nice and the Cathedral is beautiful.  During free time we take walks around the city and it feels like we are in Hogwarts.  We are haaving so much fun and are all well taken care by all the chaperones and Mr. E. I can't wait for London, and to visit the other castles.  England 2013 rocks!

Ps: Hi mom, dad and varun!

Worcester

We arrived at Worcester safley and drove to Worcester University extremely tired. The university has individual buildings and we are all staying in the same one, different flats (each chaperon group is staying in one flat, more or less) and each flat has it's own kitchen, and individual rooms for everyone with bathrooms in them. The cathedral is walking distance away and is really beautiful. The nave is so big and our choir sounds like prefessionals and the sound is very vibrant. We have already went to Warwick castle and got spooked out by the dungeon ( more like a haunted house), but really liked seeing the biggest sling shot in the world and watched it's humorous fail of shooting a fire ball. I think I can say this for everyone that we all miss our moms and dads!

P.S. Love you Mom, Dad and Mia XOXO

Worcester

The trip has been good for everyone so far. We've done quite a bit in the past few days we've been here. We have gone shopping, we've sung two evensongs, some people climbed to the top of the tower at the church, and today we visted Warwick Castle which was really fun. I look forward to more fun activities as we move further into the trip and hope the everyone back home is safe and not missing us TOO much. I on the otherhand miss my family and friends and I especially miss my girlfriend Alexandra. See you all in a week or so!

Settling in

We are mostly settled in in Worcester. We have sung two evensongs already and are looking forward to our first day off tomorrow on our excursion to Warwick Castle. Regular blogging should start soon; we are still settling in at our accommodations at the University of Worcester.
